Carbon Cart is a web application that helps users make planet-friendly purchases.

- **Barcode Scanning & Search:** Instantly look up items by manually typing their name or by scanning their barcode directly with your device's camera.
- **Sustainability Ratings:** Get an immediate environmental impact score (ranging from A to F) along with a detailed breakdown of a product's estimated carbon footprint.
- **Eco-Friendly Alternatives:** Discover greener, more sustainable alternatives to the products you search for to help reduce your environmental impact.
- **Save & Organize:** Bookmark your scanned items into a personal "Saved Products" list for quick access during your next shopping trip.
- **Side-by-Side Comparison:** Select any two saved products to compare their sustainability scores and environmental footprint side-by-side.
- **Personal Notes:** Add custom notes to your saved items—perfect for jotting down prices, store locations, or personal reminders.
- **Data Export & Import:** Full control over your data. Export your saved products to a CSV spreadsheet to back them up, and import them at any time to restore your list.

## Usage
Users can access the application through their web browser. Simply open the app and use the device camera to scan a product barcode, or search by product name.
